Tolerance Analysis-Based Mechanical Design Optimization Software: Enventive

Classes

Enventive offers a 10-seat, 45-day evaluation period that includes our standard training. Many customers find this to be a cost-effective way to get started with Enventive.

Enventive's training is conducted at your site and is structured so that students can work at their own pace. Each class is customized so that the class has the opportunity to work on one or more examples that are relevant to your company. Students can expect to leave the class having completed a small, company-specific model.

For customers who need training on advanced topics or who are transitioning from Mechanical Advantage (MA) to Enventive, we have training--such as our live webinars--customized just for your needs.

Our standard 4-day training agenda includes the following topics to get you started using Enventive:
  • Modeling, simulation, and tolerance analysis of stick figure mechanisms
  • Basic force modeling and tolerance analysis of forces
  • Assembly modeling and tolerance analysis
  • Using equations with models and tolerance analysis of parameters computed by equations
  • Modeling consistent with GD&T standards
  • Importing IGES files and using Enventive's Auto-Constrain Wizard
  • Tips for modeling strategies and obtaining best results
  • Design optimization from tolerance analysis reports using the Excel Solver
  • Modeling and analyzing customer-provided examples (3rd and 4th day)

In addition to our standard training, we offer optional advanced training that we tailor to your individual needs. Some advanced training topics often fit into our standard training, but if you have additional needs, advanced training can be provided on request. Advanced training topics include:
  • Smart Components™
  • Using logic in Enventive models
  • Using Enventive-provided Excel functions
  • How to simulate GD&T Profile tolerances
  • Performing tolerance analysis in 2 1/2 dimensions by creating multiple views of components and assemblies.
  • Best practices for modeling constant thickness parts (for example, sheet metal components)
  • Other topics requested by users

MA users find that transitioning to Enventive is quick and easy. Although many MA users have made the transition without training, a 2-day training class helps MA users become proficient faster, provides an opportunity to update modeling skills, and teaches the best methods for using Enventive's new features.
